Pacific Standard is inspired by the old Southern Pacific Railroad line, which ran along the California Coast for over 100 years. An immigrant labour force built those lines, harvested fresh produce from the groves planted along the rail routes and carved out the original Napa Valley wine caves.
We pay homage to those workforces by importing sustainable and biodynamic wines and goods produced by female and minority owned brands whenever possible. Shaped by Pioneers & Innovators, we are the Time Zone from which our imports will be sourced and our goods, wines and culture were born—The Pacific Standard.
Jen was born and raised in Los Angeles to Mexican immigrant parents and spent her early 20s in Santa Barbara, California. Living among the great Central Coast vineyards, her passion turned to wine. Over the last decade Jen has been as General Manager & Wine Director of some of the most well-respected restaurants in Los Angeles and most recently, consulting and hosting wine events in London, which she now calls home. Unable to find in London many of the beautiful wines from the Central Coast she’s always loved, Jen is importing them herself and sharing her SoCal style with her British friends and neighbours.
